Sagaing Division Refugee U Nyi Nyi Lwin shot dead in Botalin by military council

 

Yangon, January 15 

Sagaing Division Nyi Nyi Lwin, a refugee in Botswana, was shot dead by Ashin Latt Latt on January 14 by the military council, according to Nyi Nyi Lwin's friends.

Sagaing Division Butalin Township U Nyi Nyi Lwin, 47, a resident of Maungdaw village, was shot dead by the Terrorist Military Council at around 10 am on January 14. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

"He was shot dead. He was not killed. He was burned at once. He was left with a one-month-old son and a 15-year-old son. 

Helicopter troops deployed troops to villages in Butalin Township. Military operations are ongoing, and villages are being set on fire. According to locals, a series of killings are taking place.
