Myanmar has 10 members. ASEAN The October 1 annual summit in Brunei was highlighted in the February 1 coup without the invitation of junta leader Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

However, Hun Sen suggested on Monday that Cambodia would host all 10 members of the regional group next year, even if it was the host country next year.

The foreign minister appointed by the Burmese military will arrive in Cambodia on Tuesday, and Hun Sen is expected to visit Burma soon, he said.

"It is possible that he will visit Naypyidaw to meet with Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. If he does not work with the leadership, who can he work with?" Hun Sen said.

"Under the ASEAN Charter, no one has the right to expel other members under the ASEAN Charter," he said, referring to the non-interference in the ASEAN Charter.
