Magway Division Gangaw District San Myo village was set on fire by the military council and Pyu Saw Htee, destroying about 160 houses.

San Myo village was attacked on January 18 in North Khin Yan. Han Thar Wadi ကျောက် ထုတ်၊ The Pyu Saw Htee groups from Le Gyi villages and the military council raided the house and set fire to their houses, according to the Gangaw Township People's Administration.

“On the 18th, at around 1 pm, Pyu Saw Htee, The Dalans and war dogs joined forces to storm San village and set fire to the homes of innocent people. Of the more than 200 houses, only 30 remain, ”said the Gangaw Township People's Administration.

As a result of the fire, 160 houses in San Myo village with more than 200 houses were burnt to ashes, leaving only 32 houses in the whole village, and locals were forced to flee their homes, according to the statement.


On December 21, the military council and Pyu Saw Htee set fire to 28 houses in San Myo village, destroying 28 houses.

The village of San Myo was almost completely destroyed by fire. The Gangaw Township People's Administration has also urged people to donate as they need clothes and food.
