Police in riot gear stormed a rally on February 1 at around 12 noon, killing at least two people and wounding several others.

"People should not be allowed to go out on motorbikes," said a local.

The victims were taken by ambulance, but the cause of death is still being confirmed.

Shan State A bomb blast at a military rally in Tachileik at around 12 noon today has killed at least 12 people and injured dozens more, residents said. 

The bomber struck shortly after noon on February 1 during a rally between pro-military and anti-military councils, injuring several people. The young man who came out was beaten and arrested. The injured were killed in an ambulance. Residents said the number of casualties was unknown.
